Kenneth K. Markle Obituary

Kenneth K. Markle, 78, of Bloomsbury, NJ passed away on Sunday November 14, 2010 at his home.

Born November 7, 1932 in Stewartsville, NJ, Kenneth lived on his farm in Bethlehem Township, NJ for thirty three years before moving to Bloomsbury four years ago. He served in the US Army during peacetime. He worked for Laneco Department Stores for over thirty three years and was a security guard at Foster-Wheeler in Perryville, NJ for ten years. Kenneth attended the Holland Presbyterian Church and enjoyed fishing, woodworking and playing the keyboards.

Son to the late Kenneth and Virginia Foulk Markle, Kenneth is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Gloria Cooley Markle, daughter Terry Julian and her husband Jay of Easton, PA, son Karl Markle of Wilson, PA, sister Bertha Snyder and her husband Nelson of Florida, four grandchildren Jayson, Shannon, Jeremy and Corey, two great grandsons Zachary and Nicholas and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Kenneth was predeceased by his son Kenneth, Jr. (1995) and his step father Harry Bare.

Funeral services will be held on Friday November 19, 2010 at 11 AM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Rd, Holland Township, NJ with Pastor John Potter officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at the Northampton Memorial Shrine in Palmer Township, PA. Visitation will also be Friday from 10 11 AM, prior to the service at the funeral home.
