Kenneth Edward Strang Obituary

Kenneth Edward Strang, 75, of Berlin, PA, formerly of Somerville, NJ passed away at the home of his son in Somerset PA.

Born August 27, 1934 in Yorktown, NY, Kenneth lived in Somerville before moving to Berlin, PA two years ago. He served in the US Army 7th Infantry Div. and was a veteran of the Korean War. Kenneth was a machinist and tool and die maker, last working at Philips Machining Center in South Plainfield, NJ. He was also a gun smith and gun maker. He was an artist and enjoyed painting and carving. Kenneth was a member of the United Church of God in Bedford, PA, the VFW and the American Legion, both in Berlin, PA.

Son of the late Charles Hilton and Margaret Linehan Strang, Kenneths beloved wife Lorraine Leona (Barr) Strang passed away in 2007. He is survived by his sons Daniel Joseph Strang and his wife Kristy of Bedford, PA and Robert Benjamin Strang of Somerset, PA, and his sister June Reizer and her husband Michael of Toms River, NJ.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday January 12, 2010 at 11 AM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Rd., Holland Township, NJ with Pastor Kevin Epps officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Frenchtown Cemetery in Frenchtown, NJ. Visitation will also be Tuesday from 10 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
