Malvina C. Rounsaville, 92, of Holland Township, NJ passed away on Friday April 30, 2010 at her home.

Born January 31, 1918 in Bethlehem Township, NJ, Malvina lived in Holland Township since 1943. She graduated from Phillipsburg High School. She worked as a secretary for the Holland Township Board of Education and prior to that as an executive secretary at the Frenchtown Porcelain Co. in Frenchtown, NJ for many years. Malvina was an active member of the Alexandria First Presbyterian Church of Mt. Pleasant for sixty years.

Malvina was a gracious lady, loved by all who knew her. Her home was an oasis in the desert for all who came through her door. She was very wise, kind to everyone and a great encourager. Her love of all kinds of birds was evident in her wide collection and she loved watching the birds come to the feeders.

Malvina was an enthusiastic golfer and a trophy bowler, as well as a talented cook. As the heart of her family, she will be sorely missed by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who surrounded her daily with their love.

Daughter of the late Harvey R. and Amelia Van Syckle, Malvina's beloved husband of 67 years, Russell A Rounsaville passed away in 2004. She is survived by her son Edward C. Rounsaville, of Southampton, NJ, daughters Alma Hambleton and her husband Mick, of Pittstown, NJ and Barbara Haberer and her husband William, of Watsontown, PA, her sister Hazel Singer, of Topton, PA, seven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. She was predeceased by three brothers and five sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday May 4, 2010 at 11 AM at the Alexandria First Presbyterian Church of Mt Pleasant, 141 Little York-Mt. Pleasant Rd. (Rt. 519), Mt. Pleasant, NJ. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday evening from 7 9 PM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Rd., Holland Township, NJ.
