Margaret M. Delaney Obituary

Margaret M. Delaney, 81, of Bloomsbury, NJ, formerly of Pattenburg, NJ passed away on Thursday January 5, 2012 at her home.

Born August 15, 1930 in Clifton, NJ, Margaret lived in Pattenburg since 1954 until recently moving to Bloomsbury. She was a homemaker, and at one time, owned the Jugtown Mountain Christmas Tree Farm, which she also worked as a dairy farm with her husband. Margaret was an active member of the Union Township Historical Society and a long time member of the Pattenburg United Methodist Church. She also volunteered on the Hunterdon County Board of Elections. She enjoyed gardening, canning and baking.

Daughter of the late Frank and Emily Wittenburg VanDuyne, Margarets beloved husband, John T. Delaney, Jr. passed away in 2008. She is survived by her son John T. Delaney III of Ackermanville, PA, daughters Kathleen Bauer of Holland Twp, NJ, Susan Howard of Belgrade, MT, and Sharon Foote of Quakertown, PA, brother Frank VanDuyne of Clifton, NJ, sisters Rita Reddington of Clifton, NJ and Claire Waidner of Toms River, NJ, and six grandchildren Sara, Amy, Laura, Rachel, Jessica and Tyler.

Funeral services will be private. Interment will be in Frenchtown Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, Milford, NJ.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Pattenburg United Methodist Church, 587 Main Street, Asbury, NJ 08802.
