Margaret O. Giger, 92, of Tinicum Township, PA, formerly of West Paterson and Little Falls, NJ, passed away on Thursday March 24, 2011 at home.
Born March 26, 1918 in Siberia, Russia, Margaret emigrated to the United States with her family in 1923, moving to Paterson, NJ. She lived in West Paterson and Little Falls before moving to the Tinicum Township, PA area in 1991. Margaret was a homemaker and a devoted, loving mother and grandmother. She was active with churches throughout the years, especially St. Johns Lutheran Church in Clifton, NJ. She was most recently a member of the Valley Bible Fellowship in Milford, NJ.
Daughter of the late Adolph and Albertina (Feist) Krause, Margaret was predeceased by her beloved husband Hans William Giger in 1986. She is survived by her daughter Peggy Fennell of Tinicum Township, PA, her sons John Giger of Choctaw, OK, Paul Adler of Fredon, NJ, Robert Giger of Lakeville, MA and Bruce Giger of Wayne, NJ, eighteen grandchildren and twenty eight great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son Arthur Giger (2010), one brother and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday March 30, 2011 at 10:30 AM at St. Johns Lutheran Church, 810 Broad St., Clifton, NJ with Pastor Eric Ziegler officiating. Interment will follow in Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa, NJ. Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the church, prior to the service. Arrangements are under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Rd., Milford, NJ 08848.
