Margaret A. Longordo, 84, of Pittstown, Alexandria Township, NJ, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at Bryan Manor in Gladstone, NJ.

Born June 5, 1940 in Easton, PA, Margaret often known as “Peg” “Peggy” by her family and friends grew up and lived there until she married, in 1957. She then moved to Hunterdon County, NJ, living in Pittstown, Alexandria Township, NJ for the past 67 years. Margaret worked as a plant manager for Lipton Tea in Flemington, NJ, for over 25 years before her retirement. Her life was centered on family and being surrounded by her loved ones. She looked forward to going shopping, yard sales or a day at the casino. She enjoyed doing crafts for the family and gardening. She loved cooking, making holiday candy and sharing her recipes to those she loved. She was of the Catholic faith. Margaret loved the holidays and spending time with her family. Most of all, Margaret was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who will be dearly missed.

Daughter of the late James and Madeline (Schmid) Riley, Margaret is survived by her two sons Thomas Anderson (sp. Pepper) and Kurt Anderson, her four daughters Karla Lamendola (sp. Bruce), Jill Trimmer (sp. Kenny), Jean Karpenko (sp. George), and Kathryn Kullman (sp. Kyle), her 12 grandchildren Jamie, Thomas, Lisa, Lydia, Emily, Kristina, Kyle, Christian, Nicole, James, Rebecca and Andrew, and her 9 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Francis Longordo in 2011. Margaret’s family takes comfort in knowing that she has been welcomed into the loving embrace of her Heavenly Father, where she is now at peace with her husband, Frank. Her love and guidance will continue to shine through her children, grandchildren and all whose lives she touched.

The family will receive relatives and friends for a visitation on Friday, December 20, 2024 from 11 AM to 12 PM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Holland Township, NJ. A Catholic Prayer Service will follow at 12 PM, with Father Bede Kim officiating. Interment will follow at Locust Grove Cemetery in Quakertown, NJ.
