Marguerite E. Fleming of Union Township, NJ, formerly of Alexandria Township, NJ passed away on Sunday June 13, 2010 at Country Arch Care Center in Union Twp. NJ
Born October 4, 1912 in Everittstown, (Alexandria Twp.) NJ, Marguerite was a life long resident there. She was a homemaker and at one time was employed by the Delaware Valley School district as a bus driver. She was a member of the Everittstown United Methodist Church for 81 years as well as a member of the churchs Womans Society . She was also a member of the Hunterdon County Pomona Grange #3, the Spring Mills Grange #120, the Reigel Ridge Senior Citizens and the Kitcheneers . Marguerite enjoyed doing community service and she once crocheted 100 baby caps. She also enjoyed baking, canning and gardening. She was a loving mother and aunt and will be dearly missed by her family.
Daughter of the late Henry and Annie Shephard Vanderbilt, Marguerites beloved husband Clifford R. Fleming passed away in 1988. She is survived by her son Kenneth Fleming and his wife Joan of Alexandria Township, NJ, a brother-in-law Romulus Fleming of Hampton, NJ, a sister-in-law Elsie Fleming of Pennsylvania and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Ethel Kinkel and Blanche Rounsaville.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday June 17, 2010 at 11 AM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Rd., Holland Township, NJ. Interment will follow in Bloomsbury Cemetery. Visitation will also be Thursday from 10 11 AM prior to the service at the funeral home.
