Marie Hartpence, 95, of Milford, NJ passed away on Friday July 13, 2012 at the Hunterdon Care Center in Raritan Township, NJ.
Born June 2, 1917 in Milford, NJ, Marie was a life long resident of Milford. She graduated from Frenchtown High School in 1934 and was a graduate of the St. Francis Nursing School in Trenton, NJ. She worked as a registered nurse for 27 years at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township, NJ.
She was a member of St. Edward the Confessor R.C. Church in Milford since it opened in 1922.
Marie enjoyed life to the fullest and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing and crafts and was known as an excellent seamstress.
Daughter of the late William and Alma Flenard Agnew, Maries beloved husband of 70 years, Clifford Hartpence, passed away in 2010. She is survived by her three daughters Karen Rummel of Holland Township, NJ, Kristen VanRyper of Wilmington, DE and Kathleen Mould of Wycombe, PA, her brother Paul Agnew of Oxford, NJ, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was predeceased by three brothers, Lawrence, William and Richard Agnew.
Funeral services will be private and held at a later date. Interment will be in Milford Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, Milford, NJ.
