Marjorie G. Fedorka, 94, of Phillipsburg, NJ passed away peacefully on Saturday June 18, 2011 at the Westfield Center Nursing Home in Westfield, NJ.

Born October 20, 1916 in Lynbrook, New York to the late Thomas and Gertrude (Lepine) Halbert. Marjorie resided in Nutley, NJ where she attended and graduated from Nutley High School later attending college in Manhatten. She was employed by the War Department during W.W.II in Newark, NJ as a supervisor. In 1948 she met and married the love of her life, the late Joseph Fedorka and lived in Westfield, NJ where she gave birth to their son Bruce. In 1964 the family moved to Mount Pleasant, NJ.,after the death of her husband in 1967 she moved to Phillipsburg, NJ where she resided for the past 35 years. She was a self-employed caretaker for young children until her retirement. Marjorie was a former member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist in Boston, Mass. and also in Bethlehem, PA. She was a member of Saint John's Lutheran Church in Phillipsburg, NJ.for many years before her death. She was a very religious woman who will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Marjorie is survived by her son Bruce Fedorka of Phillipsburg, NJ. who attended college at the University of New Hampshire. He is formerly from Burbank, California where he was employed as a cinematographer for studios.Marjorie was predeceased by her beloved husband Joseph Fedorka and her brother Kendall Halbert of Washington, DC.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday June 25, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Rd., Holland Township, NJ. Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday June 24th from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home. Prior to the service on Saturday there will also be a one hour visitation.
