Marjorie D. Traister Obituary

Marjorie D. (Beal) Traister passed away on January 15, 2010 at Phoebe Richland Health Care Center in Richlandtown, PA at the age of 90. Born on November 9, 1919 in Kansas City, Missouri, she was the daughter of George W. and Gladys (Theil) Beal. Marge was the wife of Freeman S. Traister, having celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary last Christmas Eve.

Marge was the Welcome Wagon Lady for many years for the Newtown-Richboro area. She was also active in Questers and was a charter member of St. Marys Hospital Auxiliary.

In addition to her husband, Marge is survived by two sons: Freeman B. Traister and his wife Phyllis of Columbus, Ohio, their children Scott Hunsberger (Nancy Gay) and Debra H. Lewis (John) and their families; and Timothy W. Traister and his wife Patricia of Upper Black Eddy, PA, and their son Timothy D. Traister. She was predeceased by her brother L. Wayne Beal.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in her memory be sent to Phoebe Richland HCC, Attn: Community Life Dept., 108 S. Main Street, Richlandtown, PA 18955 to benefit the Craft activities that Marge so enjoyed.

Interment will be at Oak Knoll Cemetery in Sterling, Illinois at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care of Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Milford, NJ 08848.
