Mary H. Davis Obituary

Mary H. Davis, 77, of Milford, NJ, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024 at her home. 


Mary, who was known as Ree to her friends & family was Born June 19, 1947 in Philadelphia, PA. She grew up nearby in Swarthmore, PA and lived in Ridley Park before moving with her husband Rudy & her son Christopher to Milford, NJ, where she spent the last 42 years. Most recently she was employed as an administrative assistant for Kucharski Financial Services in Flemington, NJ. Prior to that, Ree worked for many years as a typesetter in the graphics department for the Raritan Valley Community College in Branchburg, NJ. By far her favorite hobby was enjoying days at the farm caring for and working with horses. Through her daughter Elizabeth, she was very involved in the Somerset County 4-H and the Hunterdon Hills Pony Club. Ree was an avid animal lover who also enjoyed art, photography and loved to read a good book.


Daughter of the late Harry and Theresa (Schindlbeck) Meyer, Mary is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Rudy E. Davis, her daughter Elizabeth A. Davis, and her son Christopher S. Davis.


The family will receive relatives and friends for a visitation on Friday, December 20, 2024 from 4:00-5:00 PM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Holland Township, NJ. A Celebration of Mary’s Life will follow at 5:00 PM with Certified Life Celebrant Henry C. Taylor officiating.
