Mary E. Pike Obituary

Mary E. Pike, 95, of Holland Township, NJ, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2010, at the Country Arch Care Center, in Pittstown, NJ.

Born January 28, 1915 in Plainfield, NJ, Mary lived in North Plainfield and Alexandria Township prior to moving to Holland Township. She graduated from Plainfield High School. Mary worked as a bookkeeper at Plainfield Country Club. She enjoyed knitting, studying the Bible and spending time with her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Daughter of the late George and Violet (Hague) Mead, Mary is survived by son; Harrie Pike and his wife Shelli of San Diego, CA: daughter; Virginia Kerchner and her husband Steve of Holland Township, NJ: grandchildren; Tammy Reina, Michael Kerchner, Jason Kerchner, Stephen Pike and Adam Pike: and 7 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Harrie M. Pike, Jr. and her son, Stephen Pike.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at 4 PM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Rd., Holland Township, NJ. Interment is private and will be at Springdale Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will also be Saturday from 2-4 PM prior to the time of service at the funeral home.
