Mary E. Vanselous, 93, of Frenchtown, NJ passed away on Saturday May 9, 2009 at the Valley View Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Frenchtown, NJ.
Born January 17, 1916 in Erwinna, PA, Mary lived in Tinicum Township, PA before moving to Frenchtown over 70 years ago. She worked at the Dural Rubber Co. in Flemington, NJ and as a housekeeper in Flemington and Plainfield, NJ. She was also a homemaker. Mary enjoyed gardening, reading, birdwatching and, most of all, spending time with her family. She was a long time member of the Frenchtown Presbyterian Church.
Daughter of the late Lloyd and Florence Weaver, Marys beloved husband Robert Vanselous passed away in 1947. She is survived by her son Richard L. Vanselous and his wife Anna May of Frenchtown, her brother Clearence Weaver of Frenchtown, a granddaughter Donna Lynn Erdman, three great grandchildren Jamie, Thomas and Lisa and a great, great granddaughter Amber. Mary was predeceased by brother George Weaver and a sister Irma Kidd.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday May 15, 2009 at 12 noon at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Rd, Holland Township, NJ. Visitation will be held from 11AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Frenchtown Cemetery.
