Miriam A. Rounsaville, 92, of Holland Township, NJ, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospice House in Bethlehem, PA.
Born May 13, 1933, in Washington, NJ, Miriam lived in Everritstown, NJ, and Forks Township, PA, before settling in Holland Township, NJ in 1964. She was a 1951 graduate of Frenchtown High School, where she was an active and spirited student, lettering in both field hockey and softball and proudly serving as a drummer in the high school band.
Miriam worked for many years as a cafeteria worker at Delaware Valley Regional High School, where she enjoyed seeing generations of local students pass through the halls. She later built a long and dedicated career in banking, retiring as Head Teller at CoreStates Bank in Milford, NJ, after more than 25 years of faithful service
A dedicated member of the Everittstown United Methodist Church, Miriam served as a treasurer of the church and past president and active member of the Woman’s Group, where her leadership, warmth, and commitment helped strengthen the organization and foster lasting connections among its members. She was also an enthusiastic member of the Del Val Quilters, sharing her creativity and craftsmanship with fellow quilters, and enjoyed many memorable adventures as part of the Ridge Runners Camping Club and the Holland Seniors Bowling League. She generously gave her time as a volunteer at the Del Val Family Health Center and Hunterdon Medical Center, always eager to help others and support her community.
An avid traveler, Miriam fulfilled the goal of visiting all 50 states — proudly displaying the collector’s plate from each commemorating her accomplishment. Whether traveling across the country, camping with friends, quilting, or volunteering in her community, she embraced life with curiosity, energy, and gratitude.
Above all, Miriam cherished time spent with family and friends. She will be remembered for her adventurous spirit, strong sense of community, and the kindness she extended to everyone she met.
Daughter of the late Stanley Harold Kromer and Virgie Helen (Rissmiller) Kromer, Miriam is survived by her sons Randy Rounsaville and his significant other Cris of Holland Township, NJ, and Ward Rounsaville and his wife Cassie of Hartwell, GA, her daughter Teresa Klapper and her husband Richard of Milford, NJ, her sister Kathleen Haney of Towanda, PA, 12 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, as well as survived by many nieces and nephews.
