Nancy H. Pollock Obituary

Nancy H. Pollock, 82, of Holland Township, NJ, formerly of Bernardsville, NJ passed away on Saturday June 5, 2010 at Easton Hospital in Easton, PA.

Born July 14, 1927 in Brooklyn, NY, Nancy grew up in Westfield, NJ and had lived in Bernardsville for 20 years. She also lived in Gladstone, NJ before moving to Holland Township 9 years ago. Nancy graduated from Syracuse University with a B.A. in Art. She was an artist and worked at the Connoisseur Fine Arts Gallery in Bernardsville and prior to that she worked as a draftsman at Bell Labs in New Providence, NJ. Most recently, Nancy enjoyed painting and drawing portraits of children and pets. She was an avid animal lover and dedicated a large part of her life to taking wonderful care of her own animals and adopting and fostering many others. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family.

Daughter of the late Edward and Lillian McMeekan Hills, Nancy is survived by her son John Edward Pollock of Chester, NJ, three daughters Wendy Jones of Annandale, NJ, Sandra Crudgington of Annapolis, MD and Tracy Pollock of Hackettstown, NJ, her long time companion Lee W. Hughes of California, sister-in-law Karin Hills of Maine and five grandchildren Kelly, Scott, Beth, Brett and Travis.
She was predeceased by her brother William Hills.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday June 8, 2010 at 7 PM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Rd., Holland Township, NJ. Visitation will be from 6 7 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
