Norman D. Weaver, 80, of Erwinna, PA passed away on Thursday December 8, 2011 at his home, surround by those who loved him.
Born September 8, 1931 in Erwinna, PA, Norman lived there his entire life. He was a Korean war veteran of the United States Army and was employed by the Riegel Paper Mill for 38 years before retiring in 1993. Norman was the Mr. Fix-it of the neighborhood with automotive vehicles, farm equipment and carpentry, as well as an avid hunter. He had a special affection for grandchildren Keyser and Dana, who took special care of him. He will be dearly missed by his beloved family.
Norman was the son of the late Walter Weaver Sr. and Lana Bryan Weaver. He was preceded in death by his seven brothers: Thomas, Cleon, Dale, Jeffrey, Walter Jr., Marlyn and Harry, and a sister Dorothy Dexheimer.
Norman is survived by his beloved wife of over 59 years, Alice Sue Weaver; sons Robert Weaver and his wife, Susan, of Pleasant Valley, PA, and Keith Weaver of Upper Black Eddy, PA; daughters: Carolyn Breithoff and her husband, Joseph, of Moneta, VA, Doreen Conrad and her husband, Edward, of Upper Black Eddy, PA, and Cathy Rice and her husband, Mark, of Springtown, PA. Also surviving are brothers Kenneth, Roger and Henry Weaver, all of Pennsylvania; one sister Meda Grim of Florida, nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Private arrangements are under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, Milford, NJ.
