The Reverend Osborne “Ozzie” M. Pursell, 73, of Upper Black Eddy, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Doylestown Hospital, surrounded by his family.

Ozzie was born on January 10, 1952, in Phillipsburg, NJ to Osborne Pursell and Margaret Farrell.  He is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Deborah (Jesiolowski) Pursell, two children son, Osborne A. Pursell (Jessica), daughter Michelle Gillespie (Gregory), and four grandchildren Jacob, Nathan, Kayla, and Christopher.  He is also survived by his brother Stacy Pursell (Jane), Mary Taylor, Julie Mandic (Jerry), and many other family and friends that loved him very much.

Ozzie was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He loved to be on adventures.  Ozzie became a Pastor, later in life so that he could teach the word of the Lord to many and he did. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren grow up. They were his world and he and his wife Debbie loved to go on trips with them. He will be very missed.

A service for Ozzie will be planned at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Milford, NJ.
