Patrick John Dinan Obituary

Patrick John Dinan, 84, of Easton, PA, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at St. Luke's Hospital – Anderson Campus in Bethlehem, PA.


Born April 8, 1941, in Easton, PA, Patrick grew up there and later lived in Phillipsburg, NJ, for 28 years before returning to Easton in 1996. He was a graduate of Easton High School.


Patrick proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Throughout his life, he worked as a machinist for Lehigh Foundry, Alpha Lehigh Tool and Bell and Howell Corp. Most recently, he was employed part-time as a toll collector for the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission for six years.


An avid outdoorsman, Patrick found great joy in hunting and fishing, as well as teaching others his learned techniques. He was a longtime member of the Stockertown Rod and Gun Club, where he could be found every opening day, alongside of Justin Souders, rain, shine or freezing weather.


Son of the late Joseph and Gertrude Dinan, Patrick is survived by his son Joseph Dinan, his brother Edward Dinan, his sister Virginia DeBias, and their children, as well as his chosen family, the Souders. He was predeceased by his son Thomas Dinan in 1989, and his little buddy, Cody Souders in 2013.


A memorial will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Milford, NJ.
