Patsy L. Shafer Obituary

Patsy L. Shafer, 74, of Bridgeton Township, Upper Black Eddy, PA, passed away on Tuesday May 22, 2012 at her home.

Born October 3, 1937 in Easton, PA, Patsy was a life long resident of Upper Black Eddy. She graduated from Palisades High School in 1954, with the schools first graduating class. Patsy worked for the former First National State Bank in Milford, NJ for 41 years before retiring in 1996. She was a member of the Upper Tinicum Lutheran Church, the Bridgeton Athletic Association and the Order of the Eastern Star Orion Lodge in Frenchtown, NJ. Patsy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by her beloved family and friends.

Daughter of the late John and Ethel Whitman Singley, Patsy is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, Raymond Red Shafer, her sons Jeffrey and his wife Luanne of New York and William and his wife Trisha of Upper Black Eddy, her daughter Susan and her husband Darin of Blairstown, NJ, sister Judy Clausen of Upper Black Eddy, cousin and caregiver Dolores Singley of Springtown, PA and her three grandsons and five granddaughters. She was predeceased by her brother Eugene Singley.

A graveside service will be held on Friday May 25, 2012 at 11 AM at the Upper Tinicum Cemetery, Upper Tinicum Church Rd, Upper Black Eddy, PA. Arrangements are under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, Milford, NJ.
