Pearl J. Smith, 49, of Upper Black Eddy, PA passed away unexpectedly on Saturday July 17, 2010 at Doylestown Hospital.
Born August 1, 1960 in Doylestown, PA, Pearl was a lifelong resident of Upper Black Eddy, PA. She graduated from Palisades High School and attended Delaware Valley College. She worked as a waitress at Ma Dees Chat Shop in Milford, NJ for many years. Pearl loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, bird watching, walking and playing baseball. She was an avid collector of pigs. Pearl was a loving mother and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed.
Daughter of the late John E. and Grace Pursell Whitman, Pearl is survived by her daughter Lindsay Smith of Ottsville, PA, two sons Jason P. Whitman and Edward N. Smith, both of Upper Black Eddy, PA, her long time companion Eric S. Heil of Frenchtown, NJ, former husband Robert Smith of Upper Black Eddy, PA, brother Michael Whitman of Upper Black Eddy, PA, four sisters Diane Free of Upper Black Eddy, PA, Judy Baguskis of North Carolina, Dorothy Dobes of Wind Gap, PA, and Donna Tricarico of Alpha, NJ. In addition to her parents, Pearl was predeceased by her brother Patrick Whitman.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday July 22, 2010 at 8 PM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Rd, Holland Township, NJ. Visitation will also be on Thursday from 6 8 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Living Hope Ministries and Learning Center, 35 2nd St., Frenchtown, NJ 08825.
