Peter Letenzi, 54, of Holland Township, NJ passed away on Thursday December 13, 2012 at his home.

Born October 6, 1958 in Cagliari, Sardinia, Italy, Peter lived in Foligno, Italy before moving to Staten Island, NY at the age of 27. He lived in Holland Township, NJ since 1992. He served in the Italian Police Force, Carabinieri and he was a graduate of the University of Perugia in Umbria, Italy. Peter was a teacher for the New York City Dept. of Education for over 25 years, he taught Spanish and Italian. A man of many talents, Peter was an artist and a carpenter; he enjoyed working with his hands. He enjoyed oil painting, wood working, cooking and gardening. He was an avid reader and a chess player. Peter was an outdoorsman and an avid cyclist; he enjoyed kayaking, biking, hiking and mountain climbing. He was a loving father and will be dearly missed by his beloved family.

Peter is survived by his mother Rosaria (Mulas) Letenzi of Foligno, Italy, his daughter Sandra Letenzi and her fianc Michael Harvat of Odenton, MD, his son Mark Louis Letenzi of Arlington, VA, and their step mother, Janice Aldrich of Glen Garder, NJ, two sisters Anna Maria Letenzi and Maria Michela Letenzi both of Foligno, Italy and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his first wife Charlene (Fabbricante) Letenzi (1993) and his father Luigi Letenzi.

A Celebration of Peter's Life will be held on Wednesday December 19, 2012 at 12 noon at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Rd., Holland Township, NJ. Visitation will be also be held on Wednesday from 11AM 12 noon, prior to the service at the funeral home.
