Raymond Mac L. McVoy, 96, of Ottsville, Nockamixon Township, PA passed away on Saturday September 26, 2009 at his home.
Born December 28, 1912 in Rahway, NJ, Raymond lived in Frenchtown, NJ prior to moving to Arizona after retirement. He lived in Ottsville for the past 2 years. He was baptized at St. Marys Church in Rahway, NJ on January 5, 1913. He retired from Elizabethtown Gas Co. in Rahway, NJ in 1971 where he worked for many years and as a young man he worked at The Gem Theatre in Frenchtown, NJ. He was a member of the NRA. He enjoyed boating, fishing and the shore.
Son of the late Raymond and Lucy Engel McVoy, Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Anna E. Eckhardt McVoy. They were married at St. Magdalens Church in Rahway, NJ on September 2, 1939. Raymond is also survived by 4 generations of nieces and nephews and many beloved friends.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday October 1, 2009 at 11 AM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Rd., Holland Township, NJ. Interment will follow in Frenchtown Cemetery. Visitation will be 10-11 AM, prior to the service at the funeral home.
