Raymond Francis O'Donnell, 93, of Tinicum Township, PA, passed away on Monday, February 15, 2010, at Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township, NJ.

Born on September 23, 1916 in Somerville, NJ, Raymond lived in North Branch, NJ and Oldwick, NJ before moving to Tinicum Township, PA in 1984. He was an Army Veteran of WWII. Raymond worked for Diehl Manufacturing Co. in Manville, NJ for many years prior to working at Research Cottrell in North Branch, NJ as a purchasing agent. He was a member of St. Edward the Confessor Church in Milford, NJ and had sang in the choir. He was also a member of the Oak Hill Golf Club in Holland Township, NJ. Raymond had a life long interest in music and had been a drummer with Society Bands throughout the 1930s and 1940s. He was generous with his time helping his church and community. His life centered around his wife, family and his home along the Delaware River. For many years, he and his dog, Tink, walked the Frenchtown Bridge and enjoyed visiting with those he met along the way.

Son of the late Raymond and Margaret (Bourke) ODonnell, Raymond is survived by his wife of 67 years, Alice M. ODonnell; daughters, Constance M. McDonald of Reston, VA and Margaret A. Canzonier of Pt. Pleasant Beach, NJ; son, Raymond L. ODonnell of Lebanon, NJ; 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sisters, Mary Mattel and Marguerite Marsjanik.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 8:30 am at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Holland Township, NJ followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am at St. Edward the Confessor R.C. Church in Milford, NJ. Interment will follow at St. Bernards Cemetery in Bridgewater, NJ. Visitation will be on Wednesday evening from 7-9 pm at the funeral home.
