Raymond E. Rule, Sr., 79, of Milford, NJ passed away on Monday July 26, 2010 at Doylestown Hospital in Doylestown, PA.

Born June 5, 1931 in Shickshinny, PA, Ray lived in Milford, NJ for over 50 years. He graduated from Newport Township High School in Wanamie, PA. He served in the US Air Force and was a Veteran of the Korean War. Ray was a bus driver for the Delaware Valley School District for many years. He also worked for the US Postal Service for 32 years and had worked at the Riegel Paper Corp. in Milford. He enjoyed football and NASCAR. Ray was very active in his community and was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Milford, the Milford-Holland Rescue Squad, the Milford Vol. Fire Co. for over 50 years, the N.J. State Firemans Assoc., the Hunterdon County Fire Chiefs Assoc., the Frenchtown American Legion Fidelity Post 113, the National Rural Letter Carriers Assoc. and the Farmer Sportsmans Club in Holland Twp..

Son of the late Richard and Laura Reider Rule, Ray is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Marilyn A. Myers Rule, his daughter Karen Donnell of Milford, NJ, three sons David of Milford, Daniel of Lebanon, TN and Raymond, Jr. of Milford, two brothers Richard of Nanticoke, PA and Robert of Wanamie, PA, a sister Ada Kozlowski of Shavertown, PA, nine grandchildren Bonnie, Erin, Danny, John, Stephanie, Brandon, Stacy, Shannon and Sammy and two great grandchildren Mia and Anthony. He was predeceased by his step mother Margaret Rule, and two brothers Malcolm and Thomas Rule.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday July 31, 2010 at 11 AM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Rd., Holland Township, NJ. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday evening from 7 9 PM at the funeral home.
