Robert E. Heinsohn, 83, of Springfield Township, PA, passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2024 at St. Luke's Hospice House in Bethlehem Township, PA. 

Born December 31, 1940 in the Bronx, NY, Robert lived in Holland Township, NJ, before settling in Riegelsville, PA in the 1970’s.  He graduated from East Stroudsburg University in Stroudsburg, PA with a bachelor of arts in English, as well as earned a master of education at New York University in New York, NY.  Robert worked as a high school English teacher at Palisades High School in Kintnersville, PA for 28 years, where he coached girls basketball for 17 years.

Son of the late Emil and Martha (Eckhoff) Heinsohn, Robert is survived by his cousins Valerie Vollmer of Henryville, PA and Nancy McDonough and her husband Chris of Mine Hill, NJ, as well as other cousins in Tennessee, Colorado, and Europe.    

The family will receive relatives and friends for a visitation on Sunday, August 4, 2024 from 9-10 AM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Holland Township, NJ.  Funeral services will immediately follow at 10 AM, officiated by Celebrant Henry C. Taylor.  Interment will follow at the Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla, NY.
