Robert W. Myhre, 78, of Frenchtown, NJ passed away on Saturday March 16, 2013 at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township, NJ.

Born March 30, 1934 in Staten Island, NY, Bob lived in Frenchtown for many years. He showered love on his bride of over 57 years, Elizabeth F. Comery Myhre. He was co-owner of the Arvid N. Myhre Construction Co. in Frenchtown, NJ for over 50 years. Bob was a member of the Frenchtown Presbyterian Church. He was also a long-time, active member of the Frenchtown Lions Club, and a founder of the Frenchtown Robert Myhre Memorial Garden. He served on the Edith Ort Thomas Frenchtown Elementary School Board. Bob was known as a man with a kind and generous spirit and he helped many people.

Son of the late Johannes Silas Myhre and Jenny Katherine Jensen Myhre, Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years Elizabeth BettyMyhre, two daughters Katherine Sandel and her husband Eugene of Browns Mills, NJ and Kristin Richardson and her husband Richard of Upper Black Eddy, PA, four sons William Myhre and his wife Kelly of Staten Island, NY, Robert Myhre of Frenchtown, NJ, Bruce Myhre of Frenchtown, NJ and Steven Myhre and his wife Anamia of Phillipsburg, NJ, brother Arvid Myhre, sister Liv Olsen, twenty grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was predeceased by three brothers Andrew, Leif and John Myhre and a sister Miriam Edkins.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday March 21, 2013 at 11 AM at the Frenchtown Presbyterian Church, 4th St., Frenchtown, NJ. Interment will follow in Frenchtown Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 6 - 8 PM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Rd., Holland Township, NJ and on Thursday from 10 - 11 AM at the church, prior to the service.
