Robert Joseph Rogers, 85, of Warren Glen, Pohatcong Township, NJ, passed away on Thursday May 14, 2009 at Warren Hospital in Phillipsburg, NJ.

Born September 2, 1923 in Easton, PA, Robert lived his entire life in Holland Township and Warren Glen, NJ. He served in the US Marine Corps. and was a WWII Veteran. He was a social studies teacher at Somerville High School in Somerville, NJ for over 30 years, where he also coached basketball and cross country. He also coached track at Bridgewater East High School. Robert was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed reading and current events.

Robert is survived by his daughter Amy Burnfield and her husband Richard, two sons Neal Rogers and Darren Rogers and his wife Jaime, and his granddaughter Lauren Burnfield.

A Memorial service will be held on Monday May 18, 2009 at 7 PM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Rd, Holland Township, NJ. Visitation will be from 6 -7 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
