Robert C. Schrimpe, 78, of Pohatcong Township, NJ passed away on Sunday February 6, 2011 at his home.

Born September 12, 1932 in Cherryville, NJ, Robert lived in Milford and Holland Township, NJ before moving to Pohatcong Township, NJ over four years ago. He worked for the Heavy and General Laborers Union Local 472 in Newark, NJ for fifty years. Robert was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling and antiques. He was an avid NASCAR fan. Most importantly, Robert was a loving and devoted father and grandfather. He was a member of the Farmer Sportsmans Club in Holland Township and the N.R.A.

Son of the late Edward C. and Catherine M. Schrimpe, Robert is survived by his three beloved daughters Valerie Conard of Delano, MN, Cathy Riley of Walnutport, PA and Nancy Carpenter of Parker, CO, his brother Arthur W. Schrimpe, Sr. of Bracey, VA and his ten grandchildren Sarah, Tyler, Austin, William, Caitlyn, Allison, Abigail, Jesse, Grace and Susan. He was predeceased by his brother Edward H. Schrimpe.

Funeral services will be held on Friday February 11, 2011 at 12 noon at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Rd., Holland Township, NJ with the Reverend William Tex Culton officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Alexandria Township, NJ. Visitation will also be on Friday from 10AM - 12 noon, prior to the service at the funeral home.
