Robert “Bob” W. Jager, 89, of Morris Township, PA, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township, NJ.
Born June 25, 1935 in Newton, NJ, Bob lived in Sparta, NJ, before settling in Morrisdale, PA. He graduated from Newton High School in Newton, NJ, and earned a bachelor of science degree in accounting from Fairleigh Dickenson University in Teaneck, NJ. Bob served in the United States Army during the Korean War, where he was stationed in Germany. He retired as the owner/operator of Jager Sand & Stone in Sparta, NJ. Bob enjoyed his horses and his grandkids.
Son of the late Donald and Ora (Ansell) Jager, Bob is survived by his son, Eric Jager of Gulf Breeze, FL, his daughter Cindy Cullinane and her husband Tom of Holland Township, NJ, his stepchildren Mark Verhagen, William Verhagen, Victoria Robinson, and Jennifer Freitag, his sisters Cora Nemec of Virginia and Margaret Nance and her husband Bobby of North Carolina, and his grandchildren Heather, Evan, Meghan, and Lauren. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Margaret “Peggy” Mary (Tuohy) Jager in July 2024, as well as his stepdaughters Christine Verhagen and Kimberly Gorton.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Milford, NJ.
