Ronald L. Torok Sr., 79, of Pittstown, NJ passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Saturday, June 28, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born August 27, 1945 to the late Andrew and Ida Torok, Ron was a proud graduate of Delaware Valley Regional High School, Class of 1965. That same year, he enlisted in the United States Navy and served honorably during the Vietnam War from 1965 to 1968. He also served in the Navy Reserves at the New London Naval Submarine Base in Groton, CT. His dedication to duty and country remained a lifelong source of pride.

After his military service, Ron returned home and spent his life doing what he loved most — farming. A dedicated nurseryman, he not only worked the fields but also found great joy in raising and showing sheep. He shared this passion with his children and later his granddaughter, creating treasured memories in barns and show rings alike. These moments became part of the fabric of their family life and a lasting legacy of his patient guidance and quiet encouragement.

Ron was predeceased by his parents; his siblings, Robert Torok and Sandra Harrington; and his beloved daughter, Melissa Torok-Tovar.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Evamay Stutz Torok; his son and daughter-in-law, Ronald L. Torok Jr. and Heather Torok; and his son-in-law, Alfonso Tovar. He also leaves behind his adored granddaughters, Gabriella Tovar, Alayna Torok, and Addison Torok; and his cherished great-grandchildren, Jaxson and Jayden Grant.

The family will receive relatives and friends for a visitation on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 from 6-7 PM at the Johnson Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Holland Township, NJ 08848.  A Celebration of Ronald’s life will follow at 7 PM with Rev. William (Tex) Culton officiating. 

In accordance with his wishes, Ron will be cremated, and his ashes will be spread on his beloved farm — the land he cultivated and cared for with tireless devotion.
