Shirley Belle Hampton, 85, of Nockamixon Township, PA, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at Lifequest Nursing Center in Quakertown, PA. 

Born November 18, 1938 in Raritan Township, NJ, Shirley lived in Mt. Pleasant, NJ and Milford, NJ before moving to Nockamixon Township, PA.  She enjoyed spending winters in Paradise Lakes, FL.  Shirley graduated from Frenchtown High School.  She was a solderer for Altec Electronics in Flemington, NJ.  Shirley was an avid bowler and enjoyed time spent at the Frenchtown Bowling Alley, which her husband, Hank, ran for many years.  Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with family.  She will be dearly missed.  Shirley was a member of the Milford Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and a lifetime member of the Alexandria First Presbyterian Church.  

Daughter of the late Asie and Frances (Opdycke) Anderson, Shirley is survived by her two sons Bret Hampton and his companion Cindy Flacco of Puyallup, WA and Bart Hampton and his wife Deborah of Nockamixon Township, PA, her daughter Tammy Sassaman and her husband Timothy of Holland Township, NJ, her brother A. Frank Anderson, her sister Joan Breithoff, her seven grandchildren Kelly Hill, Brittany Hampton, Bret Hampton, Jr., TJ Sassaman, Tyler Sassaman, Alexa Hone, and Matt Hone, and her nine great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her beloved husband Frank “Hank” R. Hampton in 2023, and her sister Doris Mowder. 

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 10 AM at the Alexandria First Presbyterian Church of Mt. Pleasant, 141 Little York Mt. Pleasant Road, Alexandria Township, NJ, with Pastor Nick Hatch officiating.  Interment will be held prior to the service at 9:30 AM at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Alexandria Township, NJ.  Arrangements are under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Milford, NJ.
