Sonia M. Meyer, 74, of Holland Township, NJ passed away on Friday July 30, 2010 at her home.

Born February 28, 1936 in Brooklyn, NY, Sonia lived in Carteret, NJ before moving to Holland Township, NJ 35 years ago. She was a homemaker and had worked at Western Electric in New York City at one time. Sonia was a member of and taught Sunday School for 25 years at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Rieglesville, PA and a very active member and past president of the Holland Township Womens Club. She was the club's only woman to receive "Woman of the Year" for three years. She was also the Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee for 20 years. Sonia was a Cub
Scout den mother and was involed with Meals on Wheels.

Daughter of the late Gosta and Berta Nilsson Wernberg, Sonias beloved husband Eric H. Meyer passed away in 2006. She is survived by her son Glenn E. Meyer and his wife Nicki of Bethlehem, PA, her two grandchildren Jared and Sydney and her fiance Louis Boucher of Michigan. She was predeceased by her brother Roy Wernberg.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday August 4, 2010 at 8 PM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Rd., Holland Township, NJ. Visitation will also be on Wednesday from 6-8 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be private in Rieglesville Cemetery.
