Stephen N. Lelo, 91, of Holland Township, NJ, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025, at his home.

Born November 1, 1933 in Baptistown, Kingwood Township, NJ, Stephen lived on the Lelo family farm in Kingwood Township, NJ, then the family farm in Holland Township, NJ. He graduated from Frenchtown High School. In addition to working as a farmer, for his whole life, Stephen worked for JCP&L for many years before retiring. Dancing and gardening were some of Stephen’s favorite activities. He also enjoyed woodworking, and built his home in Holland Township himself. Stephen loved to travel, go out on his motorcycle, and ride his horse. He was a member of the St. Gregory Palmas Russian Orthodox Church in Glen Gardner, NJ, where loved to sing in the choir. Stephen was always smiling and was kind to everyone he met. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who will be dearly missed.

Son of the late John and Anna (Hryzkovian) Lelo, Stephen is survived by his beloved wife Michele P. (Pratt) Lelo, his son Brian Lelo, his brother Gary Lelo, his sister Ann Lelo, his four grandchildren Jennifer, Jessica, Samantha, and Cristy, his two step-sons Timothy R. Snover and Adam D. Snover, and his two step-grandchildren Marisa and Elena. He was predeceased by his son Zane Lelo, his three brothers John, Mitch, and Joseph, and his four sisters Margaret, Mary, Helen, and Sophie.

The family will receive relatives and friends for a visitation on Saturday, March 15, 2025 from 10-11 AM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Holland Township, NJ. A Prayer Service will follow at 11 AM with Father Tristan Gall officiating. Interment will follow at the St. John the Baptist Orthodox Cemetery in Alpha, NJ.
