Susan A. Humphrey, 54, of Upper Black Eddy, Nockamixon Township, PA passed away on Monday, November 23, 2009 at St. Lukes Hospital in Fountain Hill, PA.

Born on December 1, 1954 in Bethlehem, PA, Susan grew up at the Jersey Shore and lived in Somerville, NJ before moving to Upper Black Eddy, PA in 1983. She graduated from Monmouth College with a BS in Biology. Susan worked at Hoffman-LaRoche in Raritan and more recently at US Bronze Powders Co. in Flemington, NJ for over 27 years. She was a black belt in Karate, a certified Scuba Diver and an artist. Among her many talents, Susan enjoyed painting, sculpting, jewelry making and drawing. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed.

Susan is survived by her beloved husband of 28 years, William J. Humphrey of Upper Black Eddy, PA; sons Elliot A. Humphrey of Michigan and Taylor B. Humphrey of Upper Black Eddy, PA; her mother Mary Swan Highton of Florida, brothers Steven Abel of Toms River, NJ and Donald Abel of Florida; sister Bonnie Coste of Florida; and her granddaughter Mandelyn. Susan was predeceased by her father, Donald Abel.

A Memorial Service and Celebration of Her Life will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at 1:00 pm at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Holland Township, NJ. Visitation will be from 12-1 pm prior to the service at the Funeral Home.
