Sylvia B. Phillips, 77, of Tinicum Township, PA, formerly of Frenchtown, NJ passed away on Friday Sept. 11, 2009 at her home.

Born April 29, 1932 in Frenchtown, NJ, Sylvia was married and raised her family there, before moving to Upper Black Eddy (Tinicum Township) PA in 1979. She worked at A.M. Best Insurance Co. in Oldwick, NJ for 14 years, prior to that she worked at the Lipton Tea Co. in Flemington. She was also a homemaker. She was a member of the Frenchtown Vol. Fire Co. Ladies Auxillary. She was a direct descendent of Edward Robinson, a local war hero.

Daughter of the late Chester and Ruth (Gordon) Robinson, Sylvias husband Theodore H. Phillips passed away in 1979. She is survived by two sons, Kyle and wife Arlene of Alpha NJ and Kim Phillips of Upper Black Eddy, PA, two daughters Cindy L. Kirchner and her husband David of Alpha, NJ and Renee A. Phillips of Quakertown, PA. Her brother, Marvin Robinson of Revere, PA., two sisters in law, Betty Lou Farley of Alexandria Twp. NJ and June Robinson of Milford, NJ, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she is predeceased by a son Kevin, a brother Richard and a sister Evelyn Moser.

Services and interment in Frenchtown Cemetery will be private. Arrangements are under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, Milford, NJ .
