Thomas R. Fogg left this world on Friday, June 18, 2010 he was 74 years old.

A resident of Pittstown, NJ. for almost 45 years Tom grew up in Paterson, NJ where he met and married the love of his life, Shirley at the tender age of 19. Shirley often told the story of how when their second child was born, the store clerk refused to believe he was old enough to purchase the celebratory champagne, so he had to enlist his father-in-law's help.

Tom was a devoted husband and father to his four children. He worked full time and went to school at night for many years, receiving his electrical engineering degree at the age of 40 from Lafayette College. For the last four decades he worked for Conolog Corporation in Branchburg, NJ where he was Vice President of Engineering.

Tom was an avid tennis player, hiker, cross-country skier and conoe enthusiast. He adored every dog he ever met and last year completed training with his Leonburger, Summer to become a certified therapy dog. Tom also volunteered at the Hunterdon Humane Animal Shelter, walking dogs every Friday for the last two years.

Tom was a man of few words, but a generous and loving husband, father, brother, son, uncle, grandfather and friend. He was always there to lend a hand, whether it was to fix a car, work out a physics problem or take care of a grandchild.

Tom is survuved by Shirley, his devoted wife and best friend of 55 years, two daughters, Sheryl Basile and husband Reggie of Little York, NJ. and Melissa Fogg of Califon, NJ.,son Thomas of Somerset, NJ., his mother Constance Fogg-Duffy of Flemington, NJ., a brother Gerald Fogg of Long Island and four beloved grandchildren, Melissa, Christopher, Tristan and Elijah and many adored nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his eldest son, David who passed away in 1978.

Funeral services will be held on Monday June 21, 2010 at 7:30 PM at the Johnson- Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Rd., Holland Township, NJ. Visitation will be Monday evening 6 - 7:30 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment is private in Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa NJ.
