Timothy M. Daley, 65, of Holland Township, NJ, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township, NJ.

Born July 26, 1960, in Elizabeth, NJ, Tim grew up in Clark, NJ and graduated from Arthur L. Johnson Regional High School. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautics from the Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, FL.

Tim dedicated 39 years to a distinguished career in aviation. He began flying for Command Airlines, where he served as First Officer and later Captain. He went on to fly for American Airlines, where his career spanned multiple aircraft — from Flight Engineer on the Boeing 727 to flying the DC-10, B757/767, and ultimately the B777, where he served as a Senior Captain. In addition to his roles in the cockpit, Tim was a respected Company Instructor and Check Airman, known for his knowledge, leadership, and mentorship.

Tim also spent many years as a flight instructor, teaching at Teterboro Airport and helping to guide the next generation of pilots.  He also enjoyed flying his own plane out of Sky Manor Airport.

Outside of aviation, Tim loved restoring and riding motorcycles of all kinds. He also enjoyed golfing and cheering on his beloved New York Yankees.

Above all, family was at the heart of Tim’s life. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, and grandfather, whose warmth, strength, and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Son of the late Francis James Daley, Jr. and Patricia Mary (Connelly) Daley, Tim is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Sharon M. (Larkins) Daley, his son Timothy F. Daley, his two daughters Melissa Engel and her husband Brian and Kristen Daley, his three sisters Patricia Thornton, Eileen Villa, and Mary Daley, and his granddaughter Kayleigh Daley.  He was predeceased by his brother Francis “Fran” Daley, III.   

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass for Tim on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 1:30 PM at Our Lady of Victories Roman Catholic Church, 1005 County Road 519, Frenchtown, NJ 08825, NJ.
