Tracey Marie Pursell, 64, of Erwinna, Tinicum Township, PA, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, April 30, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Born December 28, 1961, in Phillipsburg, NJ, Tracey grew up in Holland Township, NJ, moving to Erwinna, PA, in 1992. She was a 1980 graduate of Delaware Valley Regional High School and went on to earn her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from the University of Northern Colorado in 1984.
Tracey dedicated 37 years of service as a forensic scientist for the State of New Jersey, where her intelligence, attention to detail, and commitment to justice made a lasting impact. In addition to her professional career, she assisted with auctions for Hanna Auction Services in Milford, NJ, enjoying the camaraderie and community the work provided.
Tracey found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved gardening and canning, and she expressed her creativity through arts and crafts. She especially enjoyed trips to Lancaster and cherished vacations at the shore with her best friends, Tammy and Scott. Above all else, Tracey treasured time spent with her family, particularly her beloved grandchildren, who were the center of her world.
Tracey is survived by her beloved husband of 34 years, Mark Pursell, her parents William and Mildred (Adam) Turnbull, her five sons Christopher Pursell and his wife Erica, Jarrett Pursell and his wife Katrina, Connor Pursell, Ty Pursell and his fiancé Kailee, and Tanner Pursell and his significant other Laura, her sister Paula Butler, niece Jillian Cicalese and her husband John, and nephew Derek Butler and wife Christa, along with her grandchildren Mason, Silas, Braden, Caden, and her first granddaughter Harper Marie on the way.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Milford, NJ.
