Virginia J. Fisher, 81, of Alexandria Township, NJ passed away on Sunday February 27, 2011 at the Hospice House of the VNA of St. Lukes in Bethlehem, PA.
Born May 19, 1929 in Kingwood Township, NJ, Virginia was a life long resident of the Frenchtown area. She worked as a home health aide for Visiting Health and Supportive Services in Raritan Township, NJ for 20 years before retiring in 1995. She was an active member of Our Lady of Victories R.C. Church in Baptistown, NJ where she sang in the choir and was a member of the Alter Rosary Society. She was also a former Friendly Visitor. Virginia was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Daughter of the late John and Anna Konkoly Stellmah, Virginias beloved husband James E. Fisher passed away in 2006. She is survived by two sons Michael of Melrose, MA and Patrick of Mountain Lakes, NJ, three daughters Laurie Fisher of North Carolina, Jenine LaFevre of Holland Township, NJ and Theresa Szeplaki of Bath, PA, her sister Theresa Stellmah of Allentown, PA and eight grandchildren Patrick, Matthew, Daniel, Houston, Adam, Charlotte, Alex and Andrew. She was predeceased by five brothers and five sisters.
Funeral services will begin on Wednesday March 2, 2011 at 9 AM from the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Rd., Holland Township, NJ, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Our Lady of Victories R.C. Church, Rt. 519, Baptistown (Kingwood Twp.). NJ. Interment will be in St. Magdalen Cemetery in Flemington, NJ. Visitation will be on Tuesday evening from 7 9 PM at the funeral home.
