Virginia (Leichliter) Weaver, 98, of Nockamixon Township, PA passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025 at St. Luke’s Bethlehem campus in Bethlehem, PA.
Born at home January 16, 1927 in Upper Black Eddy, PA, Virginia lived in Upper Black Eddy, PA and Long Pond, PA, before settling in Ottsville, PA. She was a homemaker who loved cooking and baking; she was famous for her cheesecakes, pies, and potato salad. Virginia enjoyed counting the airplanes she saw in the sky each day. Most of all, she loved her whole family.
Daughter of the late Edward and Lillian Mae (Fine) Leichliter, Virginia is survived by her daughters Margaret Franks of Florida, Irene Reigle and her husband Bud of New Jersey, Burma Christie and her husband Doug of Virginia, Cindy Hauschka and her husband Bill of Pennsylvania, and Donna Corriere of Pennsylvania, her sons Ed Weaver and Bart Weaver both of Pennsylvania, and many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her beloved dog, Tiny. Virginia is predeceased by her beloved husband Norman L. Weaver in 2001, her children Rose Murphy and Barry Weaver, and her brothers Perry Leichliter and Kenneth Leichliter.
Virginia was a beautiful Mom who loved her children and will never be forgotten. Mom, we love you and you will forever be in our hearts. You are the greatest Mom and will be deeply missed. We will all be reunited someday. We will especially miss you on Sundays, remembering your tradition and love for pancake and sausage breakfast on Sunday.
Services will be private. Arrangements are under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Milford, NJ.
