Vivian F. Eddy, 95, of Ft. Myers, FL, formerly of Frenchtown, NJ passed away on Saturday August 4, 2012 at Signature Health Care of College Park in Ft. Myers, FL.
Born February 23, 1917 in Valley Cruse, NC, Vivian lived in Frenchtown, NJ and Lakehurst, NJ before moving to Ft. Myers, FL 20 years ago. She graduated from Grady Nursing School in North Carolina and worked as a registered nurse at Dr. Mullens Hospital in Frenchtown and then at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township, NJ. Vivian was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed camping, traveling and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of the Frenchtown Baptist Church at one time and a member of the Orion Lodge O.E.S. in Frenchtown.
Daughter of the late James B. and Nora (Clark) Fox, Vivian is survived by her beloved husband of 71 years, William J. Eddy. She is also survived by two sons James Eddy of Mississippi and George Eddy of Florida, two granddaughters Samantha Butcher of Maryland and Michele Eddy of Mississippi and her great granddaughter Destiny Eddy. She was predeceased by eleven brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday August 9, 2012 at 2 PM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Rd., Holland Township, NJ. Interment will follow in Frenchtown Cemetery. Visitation will also be on Thursday, from 1 2 PM, prior to the service at the funeral home.
