William H. Lutton Obituary

William H. Lutton, 85, of Belvidere, NJ, formerly of Frenchtown, NJ passed away on Wednesday November 14, 2012 at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township, NJ.

Born September 3, 1927 in Jersey City, NJ, William grew up there. He lived in Union City and Belleville, NJ before moving to Frenchtown over 10 years ago. William served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of WWII. He worked as a Regional Corporate Management Specialist at General Electric in Millburn, NJ for 35 years before retiring. He was a recognized, award winning nature photographer and an avid historian of Hudson County, NJ and the Morris Canal. He was a member of the American Legion Fidelity Post 113 in Frenchtown.

Son of the late Harry A. and Ethel Marshall Lutton, William was predeceased by his beloved wife Margaret Mary Whelan Lutton. He is survived by his son William H. Lutton and his wife Annie of Ft. Collins, CO, daughter Jaymme Harney and her husband Paul of Lopatcong Township, NJ, sisters Harriett Halsey of Florida and Mother Henri Lutton of Princeton, NJ, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was predeceased by three sisters Ethel Flaherty, Dorothy Touhy and Mildred Hanley and his grandson William Leontaris.

A Celebration of Williams Life will be held on Sunday November 18, 2012 at the American Legion Fidelity Post 113, 6th and Harrison Sts., Frenchtown, NJ. Arrangements are under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, Milford, NJ.
