William K. “Bill” Penyak, 78, of Holland Township, NJ, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, September 14, 2025.

Born March 2, 1947, in Phillipsburg, NJ, Bill was a lifelong resident of the area. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army before beginning a long career in real estate. He worked as a realtor with Weichert Realty for 45 years, where he built many lasting relationships with clients and colleagues.

Bill dedicated much of his life to helping others. As a committed member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 42 years, he played a pivotal role in supporting countless people on their journey to sobriety, always offering encouragement, wisdom, and compassion. He was also a devoted member of the Frenchtown Presbyterian Church, where his faith and service touched the lives of many. 

Bill was everyone's "Best Friend".  Above all, Bill cherished his family and the companionship of his beloved dogs. His warmth, generosity, and steadfast love will be remembered by all who knew him.

Son of the late Andrew and Ruth (Kriedler) Penyak, Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Barbara Penyak, his three sons William Palleria and his wife Tracy of Palmer Township, PA, Brett Palleria, and Robert Palleria and his wife Michelle of Salem, VA, his two daughters Lisa Penyak of Easton, PA, and Kalyn Palleria of Holland Township, NJ, his five brothers Andrew Penyak and his wife Lee of Elizabethtown, KY, Michael Penyak of Easton, PA, James Penyak and his wife Catherine of Delray Beach, FL, Timothy Penyak of Phillipsburg, NJ, and Richard Penyak of Easton, PA, a sister Sue Penyak of Easton, PA, and his three grandchildren Madison, Matthew, and Jacob.  He is also survived by his many loving cousins.    

A Celebration of Bill’s Life will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 11 AM at the Frenchtown Presbyterian Church, 22 4th Street, Frenchtown, NJ, with Rev. Emily McCachren officiating.  Arrangements are under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Milford, NJ.
