Mary Geremia

Mary C. Geremia, 98, Holland Township, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at her home.

Born April 8, 1925 in Jersey City, NJ, Mary lived there for many years, then lived in Edison, NJ before moving to Holland township, NJ in 1992. She worked as a medical transcriptionist for Jersey City Medical Center, for many years. Mary was also a secretary at the Department of Surgery, at the hospital. She was a member of St. Lawrence R.C. Church in Riegelsville, PA. She was an avid animal lover, cherished flowers and plants and enjoyed watching the Price is Right. Mary loved embroidery and crocheting, especially blankets and sweaters for all her grandchildren, when they were born. She as was a loving mother and grandmother, family meant everything to her.

Daughter of the late Joseph and Emily (Duva) DeBiase, Mary is survived by her three daughters Catherine Fors and her husband Alan of Tampa, FL, Jo-Ann Durr and her husband Glenn of Morristown, NJ, and Frances C. Scasserra and her husband John of Holland Township, NJ, her five grandchildren John J. Scasserra, Kathryn Higgins, Brian Durr, Lindsay Dogherty, and Amanda Emery, and her nine great-grandchildren.

Services will be private. Arrangements are under the care of the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Milford, NJ.
