Grace H. Snyder, 91, lifelong resident of Milford, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at the Gracedale Nursing Home in Nazareth, PA.

Born December 11, 1932 in Milford, NJ, Grace was a proud resident of Milford, NJ. She worked for the Hunterdon Medical Center for 18 years, up until her retirement. Prior to that, she worked for the Frenchtown Porcelain Co. in Frenchtown, NJ and the Eaton Co. in Flemington, NJ. Grace loved the outdoors, especially camping with her family and friends. She enjoyed ceramics and in her early years, she enjoyed bowling, where she played in leagues. Grace was proud of her shot glass collection, which she acquired from all the many states she visited. She was a lifelong member and very active at the First United Church of Christ in Milford, NJ.

Daughter of the late Joseph A. and Hazel I. (Wilcox) Hawke, Grace is survived by her two sons Grover R. Snyder, Jr. and Kevin M. Snyder, her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Grover R. Snyder, Sr., her two sons Barry Snyder and Walter “Walt” Snyder, and her nine siblings Carrie, Patricia, Joseph, Geraldine, Joyce, Lawrence, Sr., Raymond, Nelson, and Gertrude.

The family will receive relatives and friends for a visitation on Friday, April 12, 2024 from 11 AM to 12 PM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Milford, NJ. Funeral services will follow at 12 PM with Rev. Todd Fennell officiating. Interment will follow at the Milford Union Cemetery in Milford, NJ.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Milford Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, PO Box 25, Milford, NJ 08848.
